Blood Drive To Honor Basking Ridge Boy Who Died In June
The blood drive will be held in Clark on Saturday in memory of Connor James Nemes, a Liberty Corner student.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A blood drive will be held on Sunday in Clark in memory of a Basking Ridge 10-year-old who fought a brave battle before dying on June 26, 2018 following complications from a rare brain rupture.
The blood drive is sponsored by the Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad in memory of Connor James Nemes, who was a student at Liberty Corner and just completed the 4th grade.
The drive will be held Sunday, Jan. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 875 Raritan Road in Clark.

Donors are asked to eat a healthy breakfast, drink lots of fluids and bring a picture ID on the day of donation.

Connor was a bright light to all that knew him. His smile and infectious laugh will forever be missed. Connor loved his family, friends, Star Wars, Legos, and life in general. The past 10 years have been a blessing with him, and he will forever be missed by all that knew him, according to his obituary on Galloway and Crane.
In true to his giving nature Connor continued to give even in the end and donated his organs to help others.
A GoFundMe page was set up to help Connor's single mother Alaina with medical expenses.
