All of the donations will be distributed on behalf of 10-year-old Katie King, who was diagnosed with cancer, to RWJUHBarnabas System.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A blood drive will be held on behalf of Basking Ridge's 10-year-old Katie King, who was diagnosed in August with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that only affects 200 kids and young adults annually in the United States.

"Katie is an amazing 10-year-old life-loving girl, an avid athlete who loves to play lacrosse and soccer and snuggle with her cats Pretzel and Gilda," the flier states.

Katie is currently undergoing chemotherapy for her cancer requiring blood transfusions.
