Blood Drive To Help 11-Year-Old Basking Ridge Girl With Cancer
The Katie's Krew Blood Drive will be held on Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Congregation B'nai Israel in Basking Ridge.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A blood drive will be held Sunday to help Katie King an 11-year-old Basking Ridge girl who is battling Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare pediatric cancer.
The Katie’s Krew Blood Drive will be held on Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Congregation B’nai Israel, 40 Whitenack Rd., in Basking Ridge.
This past year, King received almost 50 units of blood. All products will be donated to RWJUH-Barnabas health care system, helping to fill local New Jersey need.

Donors must:
- Be 17 years old or older (16 with parental consent)
- Weigh at least 110 lbs.
- Present valid signature identification
You may not donate blood if you:

- Have history of viral hepatitis
- Are recovering from an infectious illness
- Are in a high risk group
- Served more than 6 months at a military base in certain European countries between 1980-1996
- Are feeling ill or have a fever
- Recently had major surgery, tattooing, or an immunization
- Spent a total of 3 months or more in the UK from 1980-1996
- Spent 5 years of more in Europe since 1980
- Donated within 56 days of drive
