Brush Fire Ignites In Far Hills Over Weekend

Far Hills Police used extinguishers to slow down the brush fire before volunteer firefighters arrived on Sunday night.

FAR HILLS, NJ — Volunteer firefighters were busy Sunday night battling a brushfire in Far Hills.

Around 9:45 p.m., the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department was called to Schley Road in Far Hills for a reported brushfire.

Far Hills Police Department used extinguishers to slow down the about 30 x 40 foot bushfire before firefighters arrived.

"We operated on scene about an hour confirming no extension but extinguished the bulk of the fire in under 10 minutes," said the fire department to Patch.

No injures were reported.
