Burglars Wearing Masks, Gloves Wanted For Prying Into Bernardsville Stores
Two actors are wanted for breaking into businesses on Morristown Road and stealing cash, said police.
BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — Police are asking the public for help following two burglaries to businesses in Bernardsville.
On Aug. 16 at around 3:55 a.m., the Bernardsville Police Department went to local convenience store on Morristown Road for the report of an activated burglar alarm.
Officers found the front door of the store had been forcefully entered. The Detective Bureau processed the scene.

Video surveillance footage showed that two actors wearing dark clothing, gloves, and masks forced entry into the store using a pry bar, said Bernardsville Police Captain Dan Buttel.
The actors stole around $3,000 in cash and tobacco products from the store, said Buttel.

Officers were then called to a second location on Morristown Road for another commercial burglary after an employee saw signs of forced entry.
The scene was processed by detectives and determined the same actors entered the business at around 3:30 a.m. before entering the convenience store and stealing $200 in cash, said Buttel.
The incident remains under investigation by the Bernardsville Police Department Detective
