The Somerset County Business Partnership is seeking nominees for the 68th Annual Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award, Somerset County’s most significant individual recognition that has historically honored the most dynamic contributors to the County’s quality of life.
The Business Partnership Citizen of the Year recognition dinner, to be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Bridgewater Marriott, is Somerset County's oldest and most prestigious award and one at which the community gathers to honor one very special person to recognize their accomplishments, professionalism, and leadership.
The criteria for selection and the Nomination Form are available at http://bit.ly/2018citizen-nominate. An email stating the “Intention to Nominate” should be forwarded to Diana Sieberg at dsieberg@scbp.org and must be received by the close of business on Friday, January 26, 2018.

The completed nomination form and three (3) letters of support must be received by the close of business on Friday, February 2, 2018. Nominations maybe submitted by individuals, businesses, or organizations and should include a complete description of actions and activities that merit the honor.
The recipient must be a Somerset County citizen who has done more than his/her part in making our community realize its “inherent potentialities.” Nominees need not be members of the Somerset County Business Partnership.

The selected recipient must have demonstrated leadership in improving the economic vitality of the community. Primary consideration will be given to an individual who has shown exemplary service (including volunteer work) to the local/county community in single or multiple initiatives. Service rewarded should be beyond that contained in the individual’s job description.
Nominees shall not be precluded from consideration based on their political affiliation, activity, candidacy or incumbency, providing that candidates are not selected or awarded during an election cycle.

Walt Kavanaugh, Steve Kalafer, Rich Reitman, Bernie Navatto, the late John Graf, Jr., Robert Corcoran, Christine Rose, the late Jim Ventantonio, Dan Puntillo, Donald Bowers, the late Evelyn Field, David Prugh, Arlyn Rus, and Richard Shive.
