Friends of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge will present the June Second Sunday Program, What Rutgers Plant Diagnostic Lab Can Do for You, on June 14, 2026, from 1:30-3:00 PM.
Ever wondered why your oak tree is losing leaves in August? Not sure if that bug in your backyard is a friend or foe? Is that vine a rare flower or poison ivy? Rutgers Plant Diagnostic Laboratory provides the residents of New Jersey with timely and accurate scientific analysis to solve your toughest plant mysteries. Join Sabrina Tirpak, principal laboratory technician at Rutgers Plant Diagnostic Lab, to learn more about how precision diagnostics can help you maintain the beauty of the Garden State.
Sabrina received her B.S. in Plant Science from Rutgers with an emphasis in horticulture and turf industries and a minor in entomology. She is a frequent lecturer and invited speaker at various conferences and educational programs throughout the tri-state area.
This hybrid program will be held:
·In person at the Helen C. Fenske Visitor Center, 32 Pleasant Plains Rd., Harding Township, NJ 07920.
·Virtually on Zoom
