Time Change for Weekly Walks with Friends of Great Swamp NWR
During the colder months, the popular Friday Weekly Walks with Friends will have a later start at 10:00 AM starting on November 6.
From November through March join Friends volunteers and bird watchers for a walk down Pleasant Plains Road. Bring your dogs and friends. While you get exercise and fresh air and enjoy good company you can:
·Watch the changing landscape of Great Swamp NWR during the fall and winter seasons.
·learn about wildlife at the Refuge.
·walk your dog on the road (be sure to bring a leash and a doggie bag)
Walk at your own pace, walk as far as you want. The planned walk is 2 ½ - 3 miles and lasts about 1 ½ hours. Bring your binoculars and friends.
Meet at the Helen C Fenske Visitor Center, 32 Pleasant Plains Road, Harding Township, NJ 07920 at 10:00 AM on Fridays.
