Can't Make It To The Quarry Meeting? Watch It Live Here

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Committee will host a meeting Wednesday night to vote on the fate of the Quarry Redevelopment Concept Plan.

The meeting will be held at the Ridge High School PAC at 268 S. Finley Ave., in Basking Ridge at 7 p.m. But if you can't make it, you can still watch it live online.

The township will be streaming the meeting live on YouTube and through a link on the township's homepage here.

The meeting will not be broadcasted live on television, however, it will be rebroadcast at 8 p.m. on Friday, like the other township committee meetings, following the Jan. 9 meeting rebroadcast. The meetings will run back to back.

A resolution to revoke the designation of the Millington Quarry property as a non-condemnation redevelopment area and to further reject the Draft Quarry Redevelopment Concept Plan in its entirety is on the Bernards Township Committee agenda to be voted on Wednesday night.

The resolution comes after much backlash from residents against the proposed redevelopment plan that called for a hotel, housing, restaurants, retail stores, a farm and a lake. The opposition stemmed from concerns of contamination and over development.
