Controlled Forest Fire Burn To Take Place In Basking Ridge
The primary purpose of prescribed burning in New Jersey is to reduce the hazardous accumulations of forest fuels, the NJ Fire Service said.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The New Jersey Fire Service will hold a forest fire prescribed burning on Tuesday in Basking Ridge, NJ Department of Environmental Protection announced.
The burning will take place on Somerset County property in Bernards Township. No other specific details on the location were immediately available. Prescribed burning is also scheduled in Burlington County, Ocean County, and Passaic County.
