Delayed Opening For Bernards Township Schools Wednesday

The National Weather Service is predicting snow on Tuesday night and continuing into Wednesday morning.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — All Bernards Township Schools will be on a two-hour delayed opening schedule on Wednesday due to inclement weather, said the district on Tuesday night.

Ridge High will begin at 10:20 a.m., William Annin will begin at 9:30 a.m. and all elementary schools will begin at 11 a.m.

The buses are on a 2-hour delay. There is no beforecare and lunch will only be served at the high school. Students at all other schools are encouraged to bring snacks.

The National Weather Service is predicting snow on Tuesday night mainly before 3 a.m. on Wednesday with a low around 26. There is a chance of precipitation of 80 percent with a total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

A chance of snow remains possible before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, then a slight chance of snow after 4 p.m.

Wednesday will be cloudy with a high near 35. There is a chance of precipitation of 30 percent with new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
