Democratic Candidates Meet With Basking Ridge Indian Community

Sally Booth and Joan Harris, the Democratic candidates for Bernards Township Committee met with members of the BRIC recently.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Sally Booth and Joan Harris, the Democratic candidates for Bernards Township Committee met with members of the Basking Ridge Indian Community (BRIC) at their recent volunteer appreciation meeting held at Pleasant Valley Park.

The candidates shared with the BRIC their motivations for running for office. During a brief Q&A session Booth and Harris answered residents’ questions, many of which focused on public school related issues.

“It was a pleasure to meet such interesting and interested residents of Basking Ridge!” Booth stated. “I look forward to working collaboratively with this community to make our town even more supportive and inclusive.”

Harris also thanked the members of the BRIC for sponsoring the upcoming program, “Empowering your Teen Through Love, Logic & Connection” which will be held on Oct. 16 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bernards Town Hall - Warren Craft Room.
