BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A presentation for parents on "Destigmatizing Mental Health" will be held on Dec. 4 at Ridge High School Media Center.
Dr. Coleen Vanderbeek, a licensed professional counselor, specializing in human development, neurodiversity, and Dual Diagnosis (IDD/MI) for over the past 20 years, will be the presenter. The presentation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. followed by a question and answer forum immediately following presentation until 8 p.m.
The presentation will delve into stigmatization of mental health and its impact. It will also look at answering these questions: Why do we often not hold our mental health to the same standard? Are you as in tune with your own mental health as you feel you could be? What messages are being sent to youth today about mental health and its importance?
