BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The polls have officially closed for the 2026 Primary Election for the Bernards Township Committee. This will be updated with the latest results throughout the night.
The Republican race was contested this year with three candidates — Kirsten Light, along with Paul Humbert and Vanathi Raghupathy — vying for two spots.

The Democratic race was uncontested in the primary, with incumbent Mayor Ana Duarte McCarthy running along with Joan M. Bannan for two spots.

Somerset County Board of County Commissioners:
- Paul Drake - Democrat* - 11,333
- Elizabeth Graner - Democrat* - 12,170
