The Environmental Education Center provides many entertaining and educational programs for children and adults year around.

Children age infant to 5 with a parent will experience the wonders of
nature through outdoor activities that stimulate the five senses.
Fee is $22 per pair and $11 per additional child for the 4-day session.

Critters in Camouflage
Thursday, December 8 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
Children age infant to 5 with a parent will learn how different animals
blend into nature to protect themselves from predators.

Winter Sports in the Parks – NEW!
Saturday, December 10 from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M.
Children age 8 and older with a parent will join a Naturalist to learn the
secret to enjoying the winter season outdoors including the secrets
of how to dress, how snowshoes help walk, cross-country skiing
and winter hiking.

Festival of Trees
Friday, December 2 through Wednesday, December 28 from 9:00

The Festival of Trees is an indoor exhibit of decorated trees by various
community groups and individuals. Enjoy live holiday music on
select Saturdays and Sundays and relax in the Snowflake Café with
a hot beverage and homemade goodies!

Birding at Negri-Nepote
Tuesday, December 6 from 7:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon
Adult birders will explore the New Jersey Audubon grassland preserve on

meadowlarks, Bobolink, Dickcissels, and more.

Family and friends are invited to join a Naturalist on a stroll through Lord
Stirling Park looking for winter birds and signs of the winter to
come.

Family Nature Walk – FREE PROGRAM
Sunday, December 11 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M.
Family and friends will enjoy a Naturalist-led interpretive walk
through the Great Swamp.

Snowshoe Hike – FREE PROGRAM
Sunday, December 11 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M.
Family and friends of all ages will join a Naturalist for some snowshoeing
on the trails at the Environmental Education Center. A limited
number of snowshoes available so bring your own.
Program is free.
