
The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs to help children and adults enjoy the wonders of nature in Somerset County. The Environmental Education Center provides many entertaining and educational programs for children and adults year around.

Children ages 12 to 15 - Is natural science a subject you find interesting?

visit? If so, join the Environmental Education Center Naturalists
and contribute your talents to fun and educational projects and
special events.

Fabulous Fliers – NEW!
Friday, February 24 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
Children age infant to 5 with a parent will discover how birds, bats, and
insects fly while learning about the animals that are able to take to
the skies.
Fee is $10 per pair and $5 per additional child.

Snowshoe Hike – FREE PROGRAM
Tuesday, February 21 from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 Noon
Family and friends of all ages will join a Naturalist for some snowshoeing
on the trails at the Environmental Education Center. A limited
number of snowshoes available so bring your own.
Program is free.

Family Nature Walk – FREE PROGRAM
Saturday, February 25 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
Family and friends will enjoy a Naturalist-led interpretive walk
through the Great Swamp.
The program is free and pre-registration is not required.
Please note that dog walking is not permitted on the trails at the Environmental Education Center.
