Environmental Education Center Programs

February 25 to March 5

The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs to help children and adults enjoy the wonders of nature in Somerset County. The Environmental Education Center provides many entertaining and educational programs for children and adults year around.

PARENT/CHILD PROGRAMS

Story Hour – FREE PROGRAM

the EEC.

ADULT & FAMILY PROGRAMS

Birding at Middle Creek

Thursday, March 2 from 9:00 A.M. to 7:30 P.M.

Adult birders will join a Naturalist on a journey to Middle Creek Wildlife

Management Area in southeast Pennsylvania, home to thousands

of ducks, geese and swans on spring migration.

Fee is $50 per adult and $40 per senior.

Sunday Forest Fitness

Sundays, March 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.

Adults are invited to join a Sunday morning walking group, enjoying

nature along the level trails of Lord Stirling Park.

Fee is $20 for the 4-day session.

Please note that dog walking is not permitted on the trails at the Environmental Education Center.
