The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs to help children and adults enjoy the wonders of nature as summer arrives in Somerset County. The Environmental Education Center provides many entertaining and educational programs for children and adults year around.

Xtreme Adventures – Stand Up Paddling

Wednesday, July 6 from 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. or
Friday, July 8 from 8:30 to 5:30 P.M.
Children age 13 to 16 will join with a professional at Round Valley
Reservoir for a stand up paddling lesson and guided excursion. Trips are identical. Please register for only one session.
Fee is $150 per person.

ADULT/FAMILY PROGRAMS

Sunday, July 10 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon
Prepare for EEC river trips with an introductory class on basic paddling techniques, safety, and handling a canoe in and out of the water.
Fee is $14 per person.
