The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs to help children and adults enjoy the wonders of nature in Somerset County. Children ages 4 to 6 will learn which fascinating creatures are really
reptiles and which are not.
Fee is $9 per child

Xtreme Adventure – Hike & Swim
Tuesday, July 19 from 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.
Adventurers age 13 to 16 will travel to a section of the Appalachian Trail
to learn the proper technique for following trail markers before
being rewarded with a cool, refreshing swim at Crater Lake..
Fee is $50 per person.

Raindrops to Rainbows
Wednesday, July 20 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
Children age infant to 5 with a parent will learn how, when, and why
rainbows form, experimenting with the color spectrum and prisms.
Fee is $10 per person and $5 per additional child.
