Strides For Sara, a non-profit organization founded to support New Jersey resident Sara Cagnassola — a young child stricken with cerebral palsy — will host a holiday party on Thursday, Dec. 8 at Vanderbilt’s at Hamilton Park, located at 175 Park Avenue in Florham Park, N.J.
To be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., the event is designed to help raise money towards Strides For Sara’s latest goal of designing and building a wheelchair-accessible home for Cagnassola and her family. The organization hopes to accomplish this through a number of family-oriented charity events meant to encourage celebration of life and family while raising money for the project.
Since being founded in 2009 by Chris Johnson, CEO of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.-based Hollister Construction Services, Strides For Sara and its partners have raised enough money for Cagnassola’s family to purchase a wheelchair and assist with other vital care needs.

“This is a foundation that is very dear to my heart,” Johnson said. “If our past success is any indicator, I have no doubt that we will meet our goal of providing mobility and accessibility for Sara and her family in the future.”
Strides For Sara is currently accepting corporate sponsors for the holiday party. Sponsorships begin at $500 and will allow the donor organization to be featured prominently on the day of the event. Donors also receive free admission to the party for up to four attendees.
