Fastest-Growing Towns In Somerset County: See The List

The U.S. Census Bureau last week released data from the 2020 census, showing how populations have changed in cities throughout the country.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Hillsborough is the fastest-growing town in Somerset County, according to newly released 2020 census data.

The U.S. Census Bureau on Thursday released new statistics that illustrate population changes for the nation, states and communities down to the block level. The data, which shows an increase in the population of the nation’s metro areas compared to a decade ago, also shows population changes in smaller cities.

The data represents where people were living as of April 1, 2020.

  2. Hillsborough Township (+4,973)
  3. Bridgewater Township (+1,513)
  4. Montgomery Township (+1,436)
  5. Bernards Township (+1,178)
  6. North Plainfield Borough (+872)
  7. Watchung Borough (+648)
  8. Warren Township (+612)
  9. Manville Borough (+609)
  10. Branchburg Township (+481)
  11. Somerville Borough (+248)
  12. Bernardsville Borough (+186)
  13. Bedminster Township (+107)
  14. Green Brook Township (+78)
  15. Far Hills Boorugh (+5)

  2. Watchung Borough (+11.17 percent)

  7. Warren Township (+4 percent)
