Fellowship Village Plans Free Concert On The Green In Basking Ridge

The free public event in Basking Ridge will feature Yacht Rock Gold Experience, food trucks and a shuttle.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Fellowship Village will host its fourth annual Concert on the Green on Sunday, Oct. 4, at its campus on Fellowship Road in Basking Ridge.

The concert will include live music, food trucks and opening remarks planned by Bernards Township Mayor Ana Duarte McCarthy.

The free event is open to the public and will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at Fellowship Village, 8000 Fellowship Rd.

The Green opens at 3 p.m., and guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or beach blanket.

Local officials from the Bernards Township Committee are also expected to attend, according to the event announcement.

This year's featured act is Yacht Rock Gold Experience.

The group includes four lead singers, a five-piece rhythm section, saxophone and flute, and performs hits from the late 1970s to the early 1980s.

The event will also include dancing, food trucks and a beer and wine garden.

Chubis Burger and Empabake are expected to return for the event. Cold Stone Creamery and Sip & Pour Coffees & Sodas are expected to participate for the first time.

Parking will be available across the street at Seal Spout Inc., with a complimentary shuttle to the venue. Limited accessible parking will be available in the oval area at Fellowship Village.

The announcement states that no outdoor coolers or outside alcohol will be permitted. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the event.

If there is inclement weather, the concert will move indoors to the Sieminski Theater at Fellowship Village.
