Franklin Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested
Fernando Nunez-Genao was charged with the alleged sexual assault of a 19-year-old female from Franklin Township
Franklin, NJ -- A man was arrested in the alleged sexual assualt of a 19-year-old woman from Franklin Township.
Fernando Nunez-Genao, age 45, of S. Ward Street, New Brunswick was arrested and charged with one count of second degree sexual assault, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano.
On Dec. 4, it was reported to the Franklin Township Police Department that a 19-year-old female victim had been sexually assaulted by Fernando Nunez-Genao within the jurisdiction of Franklin Township, Soriano said.

The victim was known to Franklin Township Detectives along with detectives assigned to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit conducted the investigation.
On Dec. 7, Nunez-Genao was arrested near his residence.

Nunez-Genao was lodged at the Somerset County Jail. Bail was set by the Honorable Julie M. Marino, P.J.Cr. at $100,000 cash only.
