Guests of all generations are welcome to attend and may also bring their own refreshments and beverages of choice.
The Guard Pipes & Drums is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Celtic heritage, culture and music. Jimmy DePoortere, founding member of The Guard, said, “A few of us learned the art of bagpiping when we were in high school and decided we wanted to continue to play the pipes, share our common love for the unique instrument and its history, and pass on this love and knowledge to the next generation. Our common goal was to make it fun, challenging and, most importantly, to keep it close to home. Our dreams became reality when we formed The Guard. Funds raised support community outreach and musical education of the Great Highland bagpipe and drums.”
Nick Williams, a piper in the band, added, “If you like a fun night out with family and friends, this is it. The bagpiping and entertainment make it such a memorable event, and the fish and chips are, I can attest, the best to be had!”
