Head Out For a Relaxing Easter Meal
Check out these options for a scrumptious Easter brunch, buffet or dinner.
Each week, Patch tells you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, make your life a little easier, or just to have something fun to do with the family.
This week, we’re preparing for Easter festivities, with some recommendations of great meals being offered around our area, as an alternative to making your own meal. We've included multiple price ranges and settings. (And it's not too late to see the Easter bunny!)
Time: A brunch buffet will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for $45 for adults and $19 for children ages 4 to 11.
What's on the menu? House-baked danishes, assorted bagels, sliced tomatoes with black pepper, oven dried tomatoes with roasted asparagus, Caesar salad, roasted wild mushroom salad, sweet corn salad, freshly baked Foccacia crisps, hickory smoked salmon display, freshly carved ham, rosemary basted spring leg of lamb, made-to-order pasta station, made-to-order omelets, pecan double smoked bacon, brioche French toast soufflé, local spring vegetable medley, open grilled breast of natural chicken and desserts that include gourmet Easter cakes, cookies, pies and brownies.

Time: Buffet will be offered Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and will cost $22.95 for adults and $9.95 for children.
What's on the menu? Ham, Turkey, Pasta, London Broil, rice, and a very large dessert table!

Rolf's, Warren
Time: Buffet will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for $24.95 per person; $11.95 for children.
What's on the menu? Made-to-order omelets; carving stations featuring roast beef, thyme-roasted turkey breast, and spiral citrus honey glazed ham; entrees include Potato Horseradish Crusted Salmon with buerre blanc; Chicken Francaise; Swedish Meatballs; and Pork Tenderloin.

Stone House at Stirling Ridge, Warren
Time: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by dinner until 6 p.m., for $50 per person.
What's on the menu? The omelet and breakfast station offers omelets made with your choice of fillings [which include assorted cheeses, spinach, tomato, asparagus, ham, sausage, assorted seafoods, herbs and mushrooms]; French toast, Bananas and Berry Compote, Belgium Waffles, Home fries, Bacon and Sausage. There will be an antipasti station, a pasta station, a sushi station and the Steakhouse station, featuring Grilled Sliced Top Sirloin, Craved leg of Lamb, Lyonnaise Potatoes and Creamed Spinach.

The Bernards Inn
Time: Grand Easter Buffet in the ballroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and three-course prix-fixe menu in dining room from noon to 6 p.m. The Bernards Inn is at 27 Mine Brook Road in Bernardsville. The Easter Buffet is $59 for adults, and $35 for children 6 to 12, with very limited availability remaining for reservations. Three-course menu, $75 for adults and $35 for children, more reservations available.
What's on the menu? The ever-changing seasonal menu features new dishes and ingredients as well as selections from regular menu, plus baked ham, rack of lamb and filet mignon. The Easter Bunny also will be on hand to provide treats for children. And bring your most beautifully decorated Easter Egg and you could win dinner for two at the Inn! All entries will be displayed and the winner will be chosen by the Easter Bunny himself!
