Help Raise Money And Pamper Cancer Fighters At Basking Ridge Fashion Show Fundraiser
The money raised will help to provide women battling cancer with an opportunity to escape from the day-to-day stresses they face.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Basking Ridge salon owner, Jessica Walker, will be strutting her stuff down the runway to help give cancer fighters a chance to break away from treatments and just be treated to the ultimate luxurious spa day.
Walker, owner of J. Walker Salon Group with four salon locations in North Jersey, will be walking as part of the Do It For Diva Spring Fashion Show on Tuesday that is raising money to benefit the non-profit organization Diva for a Day Foundation of Basking Ridge.
Sine 2010, the organization has been providing women battling cancer with an opportunity to escape from the day-to-day stresses they face.

Walker got involved in 2012 and has been hosting cancer fighters about once a month. The women are brought into one of Walker's salons for a full day at the spa, which includes a facial, a massage, a manicure, a pedicure, makeup, and hair. Lunch and flowers are also given to them.
"It literally is a full day and we really try to pamper them and treat them as the exceptional queen that they are for a day," said Walker.

Walker feels especially passionate to help all types of women who step into her salon fighting their own battle.
"It's an honor to be able to touch these people and clients in their highest highs and lowest lows and everything in between, and being a part of this organization," said Walker. "It's just a real honor to be able to do this and give back in a way that makes a difference for these people's lives."
The fashion show will be held on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Olde Mill Inn, 225 Route 202, in Basking Ridge. Tickets are $100 cocktails, light bites, an auction, guest speakers, and a fashion show featuring looks from boutiques in Bernardsville, Summit, Morristown, and Whitehouse Station.
All proceeds will benefit the Diva for a Day Foundation, Inc.
