Here's How Much Bernards Township Teachers Are Paid

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The state recently released information on how much schools are paying their teachers in the state. See where Bernards Township School District stacks up:

Bernards Township School District teachers are the sixth highest paid in Somerset County and 194th highest in the state, according to information released by the state for the 2019-20 school year.

The school district pays teachers a median salary of $70,525, which is 3.87 percent more than last year where teachers made $67,898 on average.

Bernards Township teachers also make more than the state median of $68,985, a 1.6 percent increase over last year. Overall, 232 school districts pay more than the state median.

The released information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending that was just released, showing the median salary in every New Jersey school district and charter school.

Here is the list of Somerset County school districts and charter schools, and their 2019 median teacher salaries, from highest to lowest (with the state ranking). The percentage shows the change from the previous year:

9. Bedminster Twp, Somerset $69,045 -3.32% (231st in state)
