Hit And Run Leads To DWI Arrest Of Basking Ridge Man: Police

Angelo Pallitta, 58, of Basking Ridge was involved in a hit and run accident on Rt. 202 and then a second accident at a Wawa, police say.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A Basking Ridge man who got into two accidents was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Friday, police say.

On Friday at around 8:15 p.m. Angelo Pallitta, 58, of Basking Ridge was involved in a hit and run accident on Rt. 202 and then a second accident in the Wawa parking lot off Route 202 in Readington, Readington Police report.

Pallitta failed a Readington Officer Darocha's field sobriety tests and was issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident, police report.
