Joe Piscopo, Kelsey Grammer Visits, Supports Police In Basking Ridge
Two celebrities recently stopped by to visit and show their support for the Bernards Township Police.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township Police Officers were star-struck when they were visited by two celebrities recently.
Known for his famous role as bar patron and radio host Frasier Crane, Kelsey Grammer was launching his Faith American Brewing Company line of ales at the Courtyard by Marriott at 595 Martinsville Road in Basking Ridge.
"During his busy event, he was kind enough to show his support for law enforcement by taking the time and indulging us with a few pictures. To be honest, I am not a beer or ale drinker. However, his line is absolutely delicious and I’ve gone back to the Courtyard Marriot for seconds and thirds," said Bernards Township Police Chief Jon Burger.

Grammer initially launched his line of ales in Warren in 2020.
Faith American Ale, named after Grammer's daughter Faith, is described as having "character and a hoppy flavor that does not overwhelm, not sweet or like a malted drink, but beer that smells, looks and tastes like life well lived."

Grammer was born in the Virgin Islands, but he spent part of his childhood in New Jersey.
The police department had a second celebrity sighting when Joe Piscopo was apparently passing through town and came upon Bernards Township Officers at the Martinsville Exxon.
Officer William Krajicek had met Piscopo once before at an event and yelled "Hey Joe," said Burger.
To Krajicek’s surprise, Piscopo remembered him and graciously took the time to speak with the officers and took a few photographs.
"In both instances, Kelsey and Joe, made it known to us how much they appreciate and support the women and men in law enforcement," said Burger. "For that and their patriotism, the Bernards Township Police are truly thankful."
