Registration is now open for adult birders to join Somerset County Park Commission Naturalists on a 4-day birding journey to Cape May, New Jersey.
Adventurers will travel by van on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, departing from the Environmental Education Center (EEC), 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge, New Jersey at 7:00 A.M., returning to the EEC on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 4:30 P.M.
The South Jersey birding adventure will explore the New Jersey/Delaware Bayshore from Fortescue to Cape May in search of migratory birds during the perfect time of year to visit this rich birding region. Anticipated sightings of migratory species include plovers, willets, dowitchers, sandpipers, Rudy turnstones, Red knots and osprey.

The trip is intended for for active adults with an interest in bird watching, hiking (sandy beaches and forest trails), photography, and general wildlife observation.
Accommodations will be at a beach-side hotel within easy walking distance of Cape May’s well known restaurants and attractions.

Single occupancy fee is $585 and double occupancy is $450 per person. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due at registration. Participation is limited and registration closes Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 4:30 P.M.
