Last Chance To Join Environmental Education Center Naturalists For Trip to Tanzania

The deadline to register is August 3.

The Somerset County Park Commission has one opportunity remaining to embark on a trip of a lifetime with two Environmental Education Center Naturalists on a safari to Tanzania. The journey is scheduled for March 2011. Registration deadline is Tuesday, August 3, 2010.

The trip is a program run through the Environmental Education Center, 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge, NJ. Information is available at 908-766-2489.

Two Naturalists will accompany individuals age fifteen years through adult on an adventure to experience first-hand an ecosystem very foreign from our own. The group will have opportunities to see animals including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, black rhinos, buffalo, hippos, ostriches, hyenas, baboons, monkeys, wildebeests, gazelles, giraffes, various bird species, etc.

Adventurers will visit some of Tanzania's most prestigious National Parks, including Serengeti, Arusha, Tarangire, and the Ngorongoro Crater, also visiting Olduvai Gorge to witness evidence of early hominid ancestors.

The trip is ideal for photographers, birders, nature lovers, and anyone with a will to experience an unforgettable adventure. Trip fee includes airfare, transportation, meals, lodging, guides, tips, and more.

Cost for the trip is $7,700 (double occupancy); $8,525 (single) - Based upon current airfare rates; subject to change. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration.
