List Of Closed, Obstructed Roads In Basking Ridge

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Many roads throughout Bernards Township still remain impassable or covered in debris.

Here is a current list of the status of roads in the township, as of noon, according to the township officials.

Current Road Closures:

• Whitenack Rd & Emily Rd – Tree and wires down
• Manchester Dr & Tangelwood Ln – Tree and wires down
• Hunters Ln – Tree down no wires
• Harrison Brook Dr – Tree down on wires
• Pennington Rd – Tree down (unknown wires)
• Childs Rd between Old Farm and Hardscrabble – Tree down (unknown wires)
• Conkling near Beechwood – Tree on wires
• Dryden Rd – Wires down
• Douglas Rd near Mine Brook – Tree and wires down
• Douglas Rd near Allen Rd – Wires down
• Prospect St – Tree on wires
• Old Army Rd near Old Farm Rd – Wires down
• Long Rd – Trees and wires down in Bridgewater
• Peachtree Rd cul-de-sac and bike bath to Ridge HS and Cedar Hill – Wires down

Roadways with debris partially covering lanes and require care when passing

• N Maple Ave near Brentwood – Tree down blocking lane
• Deer Creek Dr – Tree blocking lane – no wires
• Winding Ln – Tree blocking lane – no wires
• Liberty Corner Rd near Dunham Pk – Tree blocking lane – no wires
• Liberty Corner Rd near # 178 – Tree leaning on wires – one lane closed
• Liberty Corner Rd near Douglas Rd – Tree on wires – one lane closed
• Mountain Rd and Deer Ridge Rd – Tree blocking lane – no wires
• Mountain Rd near Van Holten – Tree blocking lane – no wires
• Mountain Rd near Mountain Park – Tree on wires, not obstructing roadway
• Spencer Rd near Lake Rd – Tree on wires, obstructing road but passable for cars
• Whitenack Rd near Meeker – Tree obstructing lane – no wires
• Whitenack Rd near Baltusrol – Tree obstructing lane – no wires
• Old Farm Rd near # 122 – Primary wires on ground but roadway open
• Washington Ave and Conkling – Primary wires on ground but roadway open
• S Finley Ave near Cedar – Tree on primary wires – roadway not obstructed
• S Alward Ave & Spruce St – both roads open but wires and other debris on the ground

Several area warming centers have also been set up for residents without power including: Bernards Township Municipal Building, Warren Craft/Court Room Friday until 5 p.m.; Bedminster Library, 2336 Lamington Road, 908-234-2325, Friday until 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Bernardsville Public Library, 1 Anderson Hill Road, 908-766-0118, Friday until 5 p.m.

The Med Drop event for Saturday has been cancelled. Medication Drop Off is available at the Police Station Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For all other times, call the Police Department Non-Emergency Line at 908-766-1122.
