Come for an Evening of Remembrance & Reverence
A small band of men joined together to celebrate the Passover with their Rabbi. Although they were like many of those who gathered in Jerusalem that day, the meal they were about to share would mark the start of a weekend that would change history forever. Their teacher would announce that after three years of traveling, teaching, struggling, and experiencing miracles together one of them would betray him. Was it to be one of the violent Nationalists looking for a military leader to free them from Roman rule; the Judean who kept control of the group’s finances; the former tax collector who was hated by his own people; one of the fishermen of Bethsaida; the one who could only believe in what his own senses revealed; one of the brothers of thunder; or the one in whom the teacher could find no deceit?
Gather with the disciples as they share the memories of those closest to Jesus and struggled to grasp which of them would turn against their master, teacher, and friend and what that would mean for them and the Kingdom of God, and by extension, each one of us.
