Local Man In Need Of Kidney To Save Life
Reid Cappel was born with only one kidney and that kidney is now only functioning at 20% as he is suffering from chronic kidney disease.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A local man is reaching out to ask for help in saving his life. Reid Cappel of Harding Township, is suffering from chronic kidney disease.
Cappel was actually born with only one kidney, but at this point in time, his kidney is only working at 20 percent.
To help his survival rate, Cappel had weight-loss surgery on Monday to alleviate stress on his kidney. Although it will help, it will not cure the kidney disease.

Cappel has already taken steps himself and lost 50 pounds prior to the surgery. He will need to lose 40 more pounds before doctors can start testing for comparable matches.
Cappel needs a kidney transplant to survive and is hoping locals in nearby towns will be open to helping him.
