
The Somerset County Park Commission Lord Stirling Stable and the Friends of Lord Stirling Stable will host the 32nd Annual Family Fun Day on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Lord Stirling Stable, 256 South Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge, NJ,
Family Fun Day activities will take place from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. with free parking and admission, free pony rides and hayrides, games for children, and a special visit from Sparkee, the Somerset Patriots baseball team mascot.
This unique community festival will begin with current Lord Stirling Stable students competing in games on horseback for fun and ribbons. Musical Stalls, Fit to Be Tied, Ride-A-Buck, and a number of new team events are on the day’s schedule. The “Barnyard Olympics,” which does not require any horse experience and is open to all riders and spectators.

The free pony rides and tractor pulled hayrides will be available from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon and from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., weather permitting. Child-friendly arcade games will be open from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
Food, beverages, and gift items will be offered for sale by the Friends of Lord Stirling Stable, in addition to gently used riding apparel. Local vendors and organizations will be on hand providing demonstrations and sharing information.
