Lyons Train Station Restoration Moves Forward

Professional architect hired to restore the historical station

Bernards Township, NJ -- The township mayor and council continue to move forward on the restoration project of historic Lyons Train Station canopy.

The firm Daniel W. Lincoln of Bernardsville was awarded the contract for design/construction services of the canopy at the Dec. 29 committee meeting.

The contract was awarded for $11,350 to complete the project.

The station on Lyons Road the Lyons section of Bernards Township, was built in 1931.

A one-story Tudor Revival-style structure, the station was designed by architect, D.T. Mack. and was one of the stopping points of what was earlier known as the “Millionaires Express.”
