Major Power Outage Reported In Basking Ridge

As of 4 p.m., 2,574 customers in the Lyons section of the Township are without power.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A major power outage impacting more than 2,500 residents is being reported in Basking Ridge on Friday.

The outage is impacting JCP&L customers on the northside of the Township, said police in an alert just before 4 p.m.

As of 4 p.m., 2,574 customers in the Lyons section of the Township are without power.

Police have notified JCP&L. The power company is preparing for a crew assessment to investigate the outage.

Power is expected to be restored around 7 p.m., according to JCP&L.
