Man Broke Into Vacant Basking Ridge Store, Was Living Inside: Police
Five other people were also arrested by Bernards Township Police recently.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Six people were arrested recently by Bernards Township Police including one man who broke into a vacant store and was living inside.

On Nov. 11 at 5:43 p.m.: Joseph Kadi of Glen Gardner was arrested for Criminal Trespassing and Criminal Mischief. Police found Kadi had broken into the vacant A&P store at 413 King George Road in Basking Ridge and had been living inside.

On Nov. 15 at 12:05 p.m.: Glenn Forberger of Avenel stole a phone from the YMCA at 140 Mt. Airy Road in Basking Ridge then stole a contractor’s van from Stacy Lane. Forberger was arrested by Hazlet Township Police after he was involved in a pursuit and crashed the victim’s van. Forberger was charged with two counts of Theft.

On Oct. 30 at 3:56 p.m.: Officer John Mulhall stopped a vehicle driven by Jane Tasevski of Stewartsville for a motor vehicle violation. Heroin and marijuana was seized from the vehicle. Tasevski was charged with possession of heroin and marijuana.

On Oct. 24 at 11:06 a.m.: After investigating an initial report of lost or stolen wallet, Det.Micahel Sweeney determined Charles Denmon of Elizabeth had stolen the wallet from the victim and used the credit cards to make purchases at Stop & Shop Lyons Mall. Denmon was arrested and charged with theft by deception, credit card theft, and credit card fraud.

On Oct. 12 at 12:53 a.m.: Officer Anthony Severino stopped a vehicle that Altaraad Squire, 22, of Newark was a passenger in for a motor vehicle violation on Intestate 78. Heroin was seized from the vehicle. Squire had multiple outstanding warrants. Squire was charged with possession of Heroin and Hindering Apprehension.
