Man Posted Nude, Provocative Photos Of Woman Online: Peapack & Gladstone Police

PEAPACK & GLADSTONE, NJ — A man was arrested for posting nude and provocative photos of a woman on an online forum, Peapack & Gladstone Police Chief Stephen C. Ferrante announced.

Joseph A. Critelli, 70, of Hudson Parkway, Whiting, was charged with third-degree invasion of privacy, fourth-degree cyber harassment, and fourth-degree contempt of a judicial order.

On Aug. 14, 2024, at around 4:56 p.m., Peapack & Gladstone Police Detectives were notified by an adult female victim that nude and provocative photos of her were being posted on an online forum.

On Oct. 2, 2024, Detectives got subpoenas from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office for the online forum and obtained the I.P. addresses of the user’s location.

Upon receiving the information, the Detectives were able to confirm that Critelli, was associated with the pictures posted on the online forum, said Ferrante.

On Jan. 16, members of the Peapack & Gladstone Police Department, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Manchester Township Police Department executed a Somerset County Superior Court search warrant at Critelli’s home.

As a result of the search warrant several electronic devices were seized, said Ferrante.

On Jan. 16, Critelli was arrested without incident in Whiting Township and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing in this matter.
