Mental Health Walk In Basking Ridge To Raise Funds To Help Others
The walk will take place at Harry Dunham Park on Saturday, Oct. 15

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — For the second year, the Basking Ridge UNICO Chapter is hosting the Bernards Township Walks for Mental Health fundraising event with all proceeds going to Somerset Treatment Services.
The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Harry Dunham Park at 241 Liberty Corner Road, Basking Ridge.
Somerset Treatment Services seeks to provide quality treatment and prevention services to all persons suffering from or at risk of suffering from physical, emotional, or psychological consequences of substance abuse or other illnesses. Their goal is to assist clients to achieve healthy, productive, and meaningful lives and their agency works to serve as a model of community partnership to promote these goals. This event is sponsored by Basking Ridge UNICO, Bernards Township, and the Bernards Township Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse.
Registration for same-day participants will begin at 9 am on Saturday, Oct. 15. The welcome ceremony and speakers will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the walk beginning at 10 a.m. and concluding at noon. Walkers can register for $20 in advance at runsignup.com or for $25 on the day of the event. Space is limited, and pre-registration is advised.

Donations can also be made directly on the RunSignUp website or in person on the day of the event. Cash or checks only made out to “Somerset Treatment Services” for same-day registration.
Walkers are encouraged to wear green in support of mental health awareness.
