Missing Basking Ridge Dad Found Dead During Family Camping Trip

43-year-old Adrien Hachey had been camping with his family this past weekend in Pennsylvania.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A Basking Ridge man who went missing during a family camping trip was found dead on Monday.

On Sunday at around 10:24 a.m., 43-year-old Adrien Hachey was reported missing after his family woke up and could not find him, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The family was on a camping trip at 525 Mount Pleasant Lane, Hazle Township in Luzerne County at the time of his disappearance.

On Monday, police found Hachey dead in a small body of water, near the area of the family campsite.

"At this time, there appears to be nothing suspicious surrouding the death but an autopsy is scheduled for Aug. 23," said police.

This investigation remains open.

Authorities who helped in the search included Hazle Twp. Fire and Rescue, PSP-Hazleton CIU, PSP-Hazleton FSU, PSP-Aviation, Northeast Search and Rescue, Special Unit 66, and Local Dive teams.
