Multiple Basking Ridge Roads Remain Closed Monday

Multiple roads across Bernards Township remain closed Monday following the nor'easter on Friday. 1,497 residents are still without power.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Multiple roads across Bernards Township remain closed as of Monday following the nor'easter on Friday.

The following roads are still closed:

  • Childs Road between Hardscrabble and Old Farm - pole and wires down
  • Whitenack Road between Mt Airy and Meeker - broken poles and wires down
  • Lake Road between Vail Terrace and Country Lane - broken pole
  • Mine Brook between Sherwood Farm and Whitenack - broken pole and wires down
  • Oxbow Lane - trees and wires down
  • South Alward by Willow - broken pole with wires down
  • Queen Anne and Hardscrabble still have wires down but are passable

As a result of the road closures, Bernards Township School District closed all schools on Monday. Additionally, JCP&L is reporting 1,497 customers are still without power. Power is not expected to be restored until Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. (See Related: 4,000 Still Without Power In Somerset County On Monday)
