BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Library now offers Fiero Code, a new learn-to-code software.
Through this web-based educational software, kids and adults will learn computer programming skills through a series of tutorials and projects. They will work towards building websites, video games, phone apps, animations and more, all the while, learning how to become better problem solvers and critical thinkers.
"We are thrilled to announce this exciting new service that empowers both children and adults to learn coding skills at their own pace. Whether you're a young learner or an adult exploring a new passion, Fiero Code is here to inspire creativity, problem-solving, and innovation for everyone," said Library Director Rachel Burt.

The software is geared for ages 8 and up and will guide students through a learning journey that includes project-based learning, story-based learning, and incorporates many fun gamification elements.
While traditionally, libraries have been a place to borrow books, they are increasingly transforming into a community resource center, offering classes, courses, and experiences for people of all ages and interests. Fiero fits with that mission.
