New Patrol Officer Joins Bernards Township Police Department
A vacancy in the Bernards Township Police Department has been filled by Aidan McArdle as a new Patrol Officer.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A new patrol officer will be joining the Bernards Township Police Department.
On Tuesday, the Bernards Township Committee unanimously approved a resolution for the appointment of Aidan McArdle as a Patrol Officer for the police department.
This appointment fills a full-time position that became available due to a vacancy within the department.

"We are welcoming a new police officer starting this coming Friday," said Committeeman Brett Hodges. "I would like to offer my congratulations and welcome to Aidan McArdle."
His start date is scheduled for Friday after McArdle graduates from the Atlantic County Public Safety Training Academy on Thursday.

McArdle will receive an annual salary of $55,992. This salary aligns with the terms outlined in the Policemen’s Benevolent Association, Local No. 357 Contract.
The Chief of Police, Township Administrator, and Human Resources Officer identified the need to fill this role. They collectively recommended McArdle for the position after he applied and was determined to be qualified.
