New Police Officer To Serve Bernards Township

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A new officer joins the Bernards Township Police force. Bryson Buchananwas sworn in on Tuesday night.

"Bryson will start the police academy later this week. You will see Bryson on patrol here in the township around early March. Good luck in the academy Bryson and stay safe!" said Bernards Township Pba.

The Township Committee passed a resolution approving the appointment on Tuesday.

Bryson will fill the full-time position of Patrol Officer that had become vacant due to an interim restructuring, according to the resolution.

His appointment went into effect on Wednesday with an annual salary of $49,992.
