New Police Officer Sworn In To Serve Bernards Township
Officer Chris DeBiasse was sworn in to serve the Bernards Township Police Department on Tuesday night.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A new police officer was sworn in to serve Bernards Township on Tuesday night.
Officer Chris DeBiasse was sworn in prior to the Committee meeting. DeBiasse was appointed as a full-time Patrol Officer effective Jan. 28 with an annual salary of $55,992.
DeBiasse has previous law enforcement experience serving with the Long Hill Township Police Department.

"Congratulations to Chris, and to a safe and successful future here at Bernards!" said the police department.
The hiring of DeBiasse "did not raise our current staffing levels as he replaced an officer that is no longer employed in Bernards Township," said Police Chief Timothy King.

The Bernards Township Police Department now has a full complement of 40 officers.
