New Year's Day Home Burglary In Bernardsville, 3 Juveniles Captured: Police
A stolen car sped away from the home burglary in Bernardsville before crashing in Basking Ridge, said police.
BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — Three juveniles were apprehended in connection with a New Year's Day home burglary in Bernardsville.
On Jan. 1 at around 9:42 p.m., the Bernardsville Police Department went to a home on Charlotte Hill Drive on the report of a burglary in progress.
While driving to the home, officers saw a white four-door Hyundai driving at a high rate of speed flee the area, said Bernardsville Police Captain Dan Buttel.

The vehicle in question was determined to be stolen from Newark and later crashed on Whitenack Road in Bernards Township, said Buttel.
Multiple area police departments came to help and three juvenile males were later apprehended.

The incident remains under investigation by the Bernardsville Police Department Detective
Bureau.
