NJ.com: Mother of Murdered Gas Attendant Hoping For Leads In Unsolved Crime
Janie Gaete recaps one of Bernards Township's longstanding unsolved crimes in an interview with The Star Ledger.

Approximately, one week and ten years ago an unknown man walked into King George Exxon Gas Station in Bernards Township, talked with well-liked gas attendant Joseph Sass, brandished a hand gun, demanded and received a wad of cash and then shot Sass in the head at point-blank range.
The incident is described in one of three high profile unsolved crimes listed by the Somerset County Prosecutor's office. The murder has not been found, although county detectives still take tips from anyone who may have information about the crime – done by calling the Major Crimes Unit at 908-575-3393 or the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office TIPS Line at 1-888-577-TIPS (8477). All calls are kept strictly confidential).
An NJ.com profile story of Sass's mother Janie Gaete published this week recounts the experience from a first-hand point of view.
