Board of Education member and Finance Committeeman Timothy Salmon said the project initially went out to bid on Nov. 11. The district received three bids by the deadline and one after the deadline. The bid after the deadline was rejected for not meeting the timeline.

One bid was higher than the school district's budget for the project and two of the bids were "significantly lower," said Salmon.

When the school architect contacted the low bidders it turned out they made mistakes when calculating their bids.

"As a result, both withdrew their bids and the high bidder was rejected because it was over the budgeted amount," said Salmon.

The project will go out for rebid in January with the hopes to start the project this coming summer of 2022.
