Opioid Crisis Movie, Free Narcan Training In Basking Ridge
Participants will learn how to recognize and reverse an overdose, and learn how to properly administer Naloxone (Narcan).
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A documentary intended to educate the community about the opioid crisis and a free Narcan training will be offered free in Basking Ridge.
Safe Communities Coalition's newest documentary called the "Fentanyl Factor" features local stories of those affected by the opioid epidemic. It will be held on March 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bernards Town Hall, 1 Collyer Lane in Basking Ridge.
The Narcan training will discuss what are opioid drugs, some of their effects, risk factors, the Good Samaritan Law, what to do if someone is experiencing an overdose, how to administer naloxone and rescue breathing. Naloxone (Narcan) is a drug that reverse the effects of an opioid or heroin overdose.

Participants will also receive a free Naloxone Kit.
